Stress impacts productivity. Even competent professionals easily lose focus when problems start taking over their personal lives. For over 16 years, PowerVision EAP have been providing customized counseling and psychological education to care for the mental and emotional well-being of the individual in workplaces from a range of industries.
THE POWERVISION JOURNEY
A change in life perspective led Jean Lim to leave her job in a large multinational firm for a more meaningful career shift. This prompted her to take the Counseling Program of the Alliance Graduate School (AGS) which she completed in 2005. In a few years, she gained professional counseling experience from setting up and running a program for a former colleague’s company.
During the financial crisis, Jean felt the need to expand her horizon and explore the global EAP industry. This led to an invitation from Chestnut Global Partners for PowerVision to be their affiliate in the Philippines. This partnership paved the way to make her the first and only Certified Employee Assistance Professional in the Philippines in 2013.
From a sole proprietorship in 2005, Jean invited AGS classmates Tyne Lee and Ann Reyes to join in serving her growing clientele. This same company became incorporated in July 2013 as PowerVision EAP Inc.
PowerVision now maintains over 170 client companies supported by a team of over 100 counselors, psychologists and support staff. Looking back at the amazing turn of events, Jean recalls the words from King Solomon in Proverbs 19:21, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
